Liverpool look set to have a busy year in the transfer market as they aim to reshape their squad.
As things stand, the Reds are going to have to replace all three of Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mohamed Salah, as well as doing other outstanding pieces of business.
Given that they could soon have a very long to-do list, the Liverpool owners have seemingly been looking to get a head start on things.
As a result, there have been plenty of transfer rumours flying around Anfield in recent weeks.
One of those with the most momentum has seen Omar Marmoush heavily linked with Liverpool as a potential replacement for Salah.
And although Marmoush will not be joining Liverpool in January, the Reds may have just been given a boost in their pursuit of the 25-year-old next summer.
Liverpool leading the way for Omar Marmoush
Marmoush has been on fire this season. After 16 games with Eintracht Frankfurt, the Egyptian has 14 goals and 10 assists. Impressive numbers.
Naturally, that has seen him linked with all manner of clubs, including Liverpool.
Reports also suggested that Bayern Munich were set to rivals Liverpool for Marmoush. However, speaking on the the FC Bayern Insider podcast, journalist Christian Falk claimed that Bayern are unwilling to rival the Reds for the forward.
“That's true,” said Falk, when asked if the German giants will not bid against Liverpool for Marmoush.

“Bayern have him on their list, they actually had him in their sights a little more for 2026, but the price could go up to €60m (£50m).
“Bayern don't want to spend that much money on this player profile, they need a real striker up front. For Marmoush they would have to change the system of play a bit. But he would fit in elsewhere, at Liverpool FC, for example.
“Mo Salah has made a strong case for him,” adds the reporter. “So, Marmoush and Liverpool are hot. Bayern are a bit cold at the moment.”
Our information on Omar Marmoush
Marmoush is certainly a player who’s addition would excite Liverpool supporters.
The Egypt international has been one of the most in-form players in all of Europe this season and bringing one of those in is always a boost.
However, despite Falk’s claims that the Reds are ‘hot’ on Marmoush, RousingThe Kop understands that Liverpool have not yet acted upon initial interest in the forward.
Sources have told RTK that while Marmoush has certainly been watched by Liverpool, no talks have taken place to suggest that a move could be in the offing.
Bayern are seemingly cooling their interest in Marmoush and it could perhaps be that the Reds are now doing the same.
