Liverpool could not have wished for a much better start under Arne Slot, with the manager having immediately hit the ground running.

Slot was admittedly left a talented Liverpool squad by his predecessor Jurgen Klopp, but the former would have still been under real pressure to start strongly.

Anfield boss Slot did bring in new faces in Federico Chiesa and Giorgi Mamardashvili, although the latter will only join in the summer after his return to Valencia.

The Liverpool manager instead focused heavily on outgoings, both permanently and on a temporary basis.

And that may just be the case once more in the upcoming transfer windows, with three Liverpool players at risk of being sold in 2025.

Wataru Endo

Wataru Endo joined Liverpool from Stuttgart in the summer of 2023, with Klopp having needed a reliable and sturdy midfield reinforcement after that area of his squad was depleted with several exits.

And no Reds fan can deny the Japan international more than answered the call, with the midfielder carrying out his role on the pitch with professionalism and without fuss or fanfare.

But it remains to be seen how long he is willing to continue operating as a back-up, with the player behind Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Curtis Jones and primarily Ryan Gravenberch in the Anfield pecking order.

Endo wants to leave Liverpool, and his exit wish should partly be granted given his brief but excellent service, with Slot better off sanctioning a summer exit as opposed to one midway through the season.

Caoimhin Kelleher

Another player who undoubtedly deserves to move on, but again only in the summer, is goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher.

Chris Sutton labelled Kelleher 'outstanding' last month, with the latter's situation at Anfield truly remarkable in every sense of the word.

The Republic of Ireland star is simply far too good to be playing second fiddle to Alison, with Kelleher only able to impress when the Brazilian is injured or needs a break.

Academy graduate Kelleher has constantly gone above and beyond the call of duty, but he simply needs to force through an emotional Anfield exit and be a number one elsewhere, particularly with Mamardashvili's imminent arrival.

Darwin Nunez

Darwin Nunez is yet another Anfield favourite, with the Uruguayan always given a warm reception by Liverpool fans, but his time at the club could soon be up.

Jamie Carragher has tipped Nunez to leave Liverpool, and such a scenario certainly wouldn't be too surprising given another frustrating season for the attacker.

The Uruguay international clearly has an abundance of talent and definitely works hard on the pitch, but Slot is likely becoming increasingly frustrated with the player's finishing.

With fantastic pace and power, he is often a nightmare prospect for opposition defenders, but Nunez simply doesn't score enough goals for a forward, while his temper still often gets the better of him.
