Director in Manchester yesterday to sell 2 players to Man United & Man City in January

Juventus technical director Cristiano Giuntoli held transfer talks with Manchester United and Manchester City on Wednesday.
That’s according to Thursday’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport, who state Giuntoli was in Manchester for meetings with the Red Devils and Citizens.
Juventus had to settle for a goalless draw against Aston Villa at Villa Park and the director reportedly took advantage of his side’s trip to England to meet Manchester United and Manchester City.
It’s claimed the Turin club want to sell Nicolò Fagioli and Douglas Luiz to the two Premier League sides. Their idea is to raise funds by selling the midfield duo, to sign a defender and a striker in January.
The 23-year-old Italian has a contract until 2028, and the Serie A side are expecting €20-25m for him.
Luiz arrived at Juve from Aston Villa in the summer window and has struggled to impress so far. The 26-year-old is currently on the sidelines and the Old Lady would request €50m or be willing to use him to carry out a swap deal.
Gazzetta make no mention of Manchester United and Manchester City stances on the possibility of signing one or both players in the winter market, but it looks like a long shot.
Juve have been credited with interest in Manchester United’s Joshua Zirkzee, but the report says this is a ‘complicated track’.
