Manchester City finally strike agreement in principle for transfer – 'Final details' being worked on today

Manchester City have reached an agreement in principle with Eintracht Frankfurt to sign Omar Marmoush this month.
That's according to journalist Fabrice Hawkins, who reports that the final details are now being worked on. The current plan is that he will not play against Borussia Dortmund on Friday.
Manchester City have been moving for the Egyptian forward over the last two weeks. They’re looking to spend big and refresh Pep Guardiola's squad after a disastrous first half of the season.
Eintracht Frankfurt rejected an initial bid as they sought €80m but a report from Germany today stated there was confidence at the club a new offer would be made soon. That even predicted it could come at some point today.
Now it appears it has, with Hawkins reporting that Manchester City have managed to secure an agreement in principle. According to him, City and Frankfurt are now working on the final details of the deal.
There is no mention of the price at this point, but Frankfurt have been determined to secure €80m via a fixed price and bonuses. The suggestion had been that City would up their bonuses offer to get to that figure.
It seems they have now done so, and given Marmoush has had an agreement in place with Manchester City for some time, this deal could progress rapidly.
