Manchester City have entered the race for Eintracht Frankfurt star Hugo Larsson and the 20-year-old is keen on the move.
That's according to journalist Florian Plettenberg, who report that initial talks have taken place over the midfielder moving to the Etihad this summer.
Plettenberg reports that Manchester City have expressed an interest in the midfielder and Eintracht have been informed of that interest. That led to the first initial talks taking place over him, with Larsson 'keen on their interest'.
The big block to a transfer at this point is the German side's asking price, with sporting director Markus Krösche demanding at least €60m for him.
He has the midfielder tied to a deal until 2029 so is under no pressure to sell either. Of course, he, Manchester City and Eintracht have a good working relationship after negotiating a deal for Omar Marmoush in the January transfer window.
Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham and several other teams, including in the Bundesliga are also believed to be monitoring Larsson.
Larsson has long been linked with a move to the Premier League and Manchester City's interest was first reported this week, with it reported that they were a side to watch out for as Pep Guardiola had put him and Florian Wirtz on his transfer wish list.
Whether that leads to them winning the race for his signature remains to be seen but they are very much in the mix.
