Manchester City are very much in the chase for Real Valladolid defender Juma Bah and are facing competition from Inter Milan.

Gianluca Di Marzio had reported the Citizens could well be in the lead for the youngster, who is on loan at the Spanish club from Sierra Leone club AIK Freetong, and Real Valladolid have the option to buy him permanently.

More about the situation has now emerged from Calciomercato.it, who state that Manchester City can pay Bah’s clause of about €7m. Inter are now required to make an extra effort to sign the youngster.

While the Nerazzurri can’t have the 18-year-old in the side because they do not have a spare non-EU spot, Calciomercato also state that they will seek Monza’s help in the situation. They want to loan the player out before carving out a non-EU spot in the side.

The outlet add more information, stating that Monza will be happy to give a 'green light' to Inter to sign Bah till June.

They are looking to bolster their backline and a 'turning point' could arrive after the exit of Pablo Mari, who is wanted by Fiorentina. His departure will allow Monza to sign Bah, eventually helping Inter in sealing a move.

Monza CEO Adriano Galliani and Inter CEO Beppe Marotta are said to be old friends and they are open to helping each other out in the scenario.

This axis could threaten Manchester City’s chase of the teenager and Pep Guardiola’s side might have to hurry.
