Man Utd are going through a difficult period of adaptation under Ruben Amorim. The Portuguese tactician came to Old Trafford mid-season, joining from Sporting CP and these first few months have been trying, to say the least.

In all fairness to him, Amorim has come to Man Utd with a plan. He is setting up the team in a neat 3-4-3 formation that he used during his time in Portugal and is instructing them to stick a particular brand of football.

Amorim has also shaken things up by dropping the likes of Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho from matchday squads. The latter has made it back and is in contention while the former seems to be closer to the exit door than ever.

Now, as per Spanish source, Rashford has offered to leave Man Utd and sign for Barcelona as he looks to continue his career in Spain under Hansi Flick. The Englishman seems to be clear in his mind that his time at Old Trafford has come to an end.

Valued at around £60million, should Rashford leave this transfer window, one would assume that he gains Man Utd decent money from a transfer sense.

With him having come through the academy, anything that the Red Devils earn from his sale would be recorded as pure profit.

Rashford started well under Ruben Amorim and showed signs of recovering his goalscoring touch.

However, somewhere down the line, it looks like the player and the Portuguese coach have fallen out and there is no clarity if there is a way back.

Even if Man Utd want to sell Rashford this summer, signing for Barcelona almost seems impossible.

The Catalan club is struggling to register players they currently have in their squad and by no means will they have the financial room to sign a player like Rashford.
