Marcus Rashford was not in Manchester United’s squad for their 2-1 win over Rangers in the Europa League yesterday, and watched the game from the stands.

There’s been suggestion this week he could stay at Old Trafford and one route appears to be ruled out in Germany.

BILD Frankfurt have now reported that Borussia Dortmund’s move for the Manchester United man has 'almost certainly failed'.

Dortmund were also confident of landing the Manchester United player one point, but he’s backed away from them and perhaps wasn’t keen in the first place.

Initial talks held for the England international were promising but the outlet believe that Rashford now prefers a move to Barcelona.

This comes after a move to AC Milan also fell through, as the 27-year-old had not responded to the Italian giants before they moved for Kyle Walker.

As the January transfer window heads towards a conclusive phase, Barcelona looks to be the only option truly appealing to Rashford.

It would appear if he has to leave Manchester United that Marcus Rashford isn’t just going to sign for any other big club, and if he can’t secure what he wants then staying looks to be the preference.
