Amorim demands Man Utd to sign player – His response revealed
Today at 04:00 PM
Ruben Amorim has spent a significant period of his coaching career so far in Portugal. It is only now that he has moved abroad to England as he aims to take on an elite and near impossible challenge of building Manchester United back up to their glory days.
The Portuguese tactician is one of the highly-rated young coaches in the world and rightly so.

Sporting CP, in their 3-4-3 formation that Amorim used to deploy, played some exciting brand of football, even beating sides like Manchester City in the recent past.
Amorim is likely to do the same thing at Manchester United and but this system needs players who are tailored to a specific profile and one of the most demanding positions in his system is that of the wing-backs.
On the right, the Red Devils are well sorted with Noussair Mazraoui and Diogo Dalot but from the left, things look bleak for Amorim.
Thus, as per Caught Offside, the 39-year-old coach has demanded Man Utd the signature of Benfica left-back Alvaro Carrera.
Carreras has made a name for himself playing for the Eagles, after his move from the Red Devils. Recently, when quizzed about the interest in him from the creme de la creme of Europe, here is what the Spaniard had to say:
“It’s always good for teams to be interested, and everyone wants to grow, but I’m doing very well. United has a purchase option that has been signed, but I’m very happy here, I have a five-year contract with Benfica. I want to win titles and continue growing personally, as I’m still only 21 years old. I want to win, whether with Spain or Benfica, to continue growing."
While other European clubs would have to fork a significant fee to sign Alvaro, Man Utd negotiated a buy-back clause in his contract to the valuation of around £17million.
For the level that he is currently showing, the price of 20 million euros would be a steal but it must be remembered that United let him leave for just 6 million euros.
It remains to be seen if the Red Devils make a concrete attempt to sign one of their former players in January.
