Simone Inzaghi is too smart to listen to any approaches from Manchester United, or ever consider making the move from Inter Milan.

That's according to journalist Gianni Visnadi, relayed by L'Interista, who has been speaking on the potential approach from Manchester United.

With the pressure increasing on Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford, reports over the last week have indicated that Manchester United are already sourcing out replacements and Inzaghi may be one of them.

Indeed, one claim from Italy was that they had already approached the Inter Milan manager and offered big sums to try and convince him to take charge.

Inzaghi had refused the idea, though, preferring the project at Inter Milan and the relationship he's built up with the ownership and fanbase.

That will have come as a surprise to some, with Manchester United never really struggling to convince managers to join despite their failures on the pitch since Sir Alex Ferguson's departure.

Inzaghi is reportedly not keen on the idea despite the money they can offer, and Visnadi insists that is not going to change any time soon.

“I don’t rule out that United might think about Inzaghi, who is one of the best European coaches, but I rule out that he might consider United," he said.

"Furthermore, he doesn’t speak English. The last thing an intelligent guy like the Inter coach can do is go into that mess and not speak that language.”
