Before being relieved of his duties at Manchester United, Erik ten Hag assembled a squad suited to play in a 4-2-3-1 formation.

However, new head coach, Ruben Amorim, has been using the 3-4-2-1 formation and has made it clear that he isn’t going to change his philosophy.

The United squad have found it difficult to adapt the new style and their form have plummeted even more in recent times.

The Red Devils have played eight games under the Portuguese boss, winning twice and losing five games. As a result, they are currently languishing 14th in the Premier League table.

So, Amorim wants to sign players – who can play in his system and luring a new No.10 is on his agenda.

Mason Mount has continued to struggle with injury problems, while Bruno Fernandes and Alejandro Garnacho have found it difficult to showcase their best in recent times. Additionally, Marcus Rashford has been out of favour in recent weeks.

Now, Spanish outlet, La Nueva Espana (news image provided below), have reported that Man Utd are one of the clubs with great interest in signing Dani Olmo and have already tabled an offer to lure him to Old Trafford.

Barcelona signed the midfielder in a £39.7m deal last summer but after registering him for the first half of this season, they have been struggling to register him once again due to financial issues.

Therefore, Man Utd are looking to hire him by taking advantage of his current situation, but they are not alone, Manchester City, Arsenal and Bayern Munich are also after Olmo

Olmo is mainly a CAM and would fit into the system deployed by Amorim, who likes to utilized to AMs.

He was a key player for Spain at the European Championships last summer and helped his country win the competition, making five goal contributions in six appearances.

In 15 appearances in all competitions for Barcelona this season, the Spaniard has netted six goals and notched up a solitary assist.

We shall see how the saga unfolds and will keep you updated.
