Manchester United Women defeated Manchester City 2-0 at the Joie Stadium on Sunday afternoon to book their place in the FA Women's Cup final.
United started the game strongly and were rewarded, opening the scoring in the sixth minute.
Midfielder Ella Toone spotted Celia Bizet, who struck the ball brilliantly into the top corner.
City had a chance to restore parity in the 17th minute when young forward Lily Murphy attempted a shot from the edge of the box, but her effort drifted wide.
United doubled their lead in the 22nd minute through Grace Clinton, who lost her marker before turning in Gabby George's cross.
Two minutes later, City’s problems worsened when forward Mary Fowler was forced off due to injury. English defender Naomi Layzell replaced her.
Goalkeeper Khiara Keating made a fine save by denying Toone the chance to extend United's lead.
Five minutes past the half-hour mark, United's goalkeeper Phallon Tullis-Joyce also impressed, tipping Kerolin's effort away from goal.
The Red Devils nearly scored again on the counter when Leah Galton sent a cross to the back post, where Bizet's effort was kept out by Keating.
Laia Aleixandri tried to reduce the deficit with a long-range effort from 30 yards, but Tullis-Joyce handled it comfortably before halftime.
Two minutes before the hour mark, Tullis-Joyce came to United's rescue again, making back-to-back saves — first tipping Yui Hasegawa's free-kick onto the crossbar, then denying Murphy from the rebound.
United threatened at the other end when Clinton’s cross was cleared by Layzell, and Keating once again denied Bizet from scoring.
In the 81st minute, United suffered an injury scare when George went down. She initially looked set to continue but was quickly substituted and replaced by Anna Sandberg.
Man United will face Chelsea in the final. The Blues rallied back from a goal down to beat Liverpool 2-1 yesterday.
