However, Antony has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford following a disappointing spell over the last few years. So, the flop should be replaced.

Now, Football Insider state that Man Utd have expressed their interest in signing Bayern Munich star Leroy Sane by taking advantage of his current situation.

His existing deal at Allianz Arena will expire next summer and the Bavarian club want to keep hold of him but if they fail to do that then they are open to letting him leave this month for a fee of around £20m-£25m.

However, United aren’t alone in this race as Liverpool and Chelsea are also keen on signing him, while Manchester City are willing to bring him back.

The 28-year-old is a Premier League proven player having helped the Citizens win multiple Premier League titles before joining Bayern Munich.

However, the German has been a bench warmer this season following Michael Olise’s arrival at Allianz Arena, making only five starts in the Bundesliga.

Man Utd are looking to build a squad that can challenge for big prizes in future but considering Sane will turn 30 next year, he wouldn’t be an ideal option to be a part of Amorim’s long-term project. What do you think?
