Manchester United are struggling in the Premier League and need a source of inspiration to revive their season.

Often, this could mean a January signing who can help address some issues in the squad and be the shining light.

The Red Devils have experienced this a few years ago when they signed Bruno Fernandes from Sporting CP and could now go down the same route.

They have already signed someone from the Portuguese club, although he is now their manager.

Now, as per The Daily Star, Manchester United, led by Ruben Amorim are preparing a £40million offer to sign Brentford star attacker Bryan Mbuemo. The African winger is putting up incredible numbers in the Premier League so far this season.

13 goals and four assists in 23 games across all competitions is elite level stats and it is only a matter of time before a top club makes an offer to sign him. It looks like Amorim is keen on signing him and reinforcing the Man Utd attack.

Mbeumo is valued by Brentford at around £60million. Man Utd consider offering much lesser than the Bees are asking for and it remains to be seen if the London club entertain any offers for him this month, when they are having a good season.

One major issue for Manchester United so far this season has been the lack of goals from attack, with the even usually reliable Bruno Fernandes struggling to find the back of the net regularly. Mbuemo could help solve this issue.

If there is something we know about Mbeumo, it is that he knows where the back of the net is. For a winger, he is quite prolific and let’s wait and see if Manchester United wrap up a deal for him in the coming weeks.
