The Midfield department have been a problematic area for Manchester United in recent years and they decided to reinforce this position by signing Manuel Ugarte last summer.
Still, they will have to add more firepower to the engine room in the upcoming window as Christian Eriksen is set to leave the club as a free agent at the end of this campaign.

After starting the season poorly, Casemiro has been bright in the last couple of games but he is said to be on the chopping block. Moreover, Kobbie Mainoo hasn’t found his best place in Ruben Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 system and has been linked with a move away from the club in recent months.
Now, TEAMtalk claim that the Red Devils are considering strengthening the midfield by signing Sunderland star, Jobe Bellingham, after monitoring his development closely this term.
United are ready to be in a strong position to secure his service and the 19-year-old would be keen on leaving the Stadium of Light to play at the highest level.
However, the Black Cats can demand a hefty fee to sell him, especially if they gain promotion with his existing deal set to run until 2028. They are currently in the playoff position in the Championship.
Amorim’s side aren’t alone in this race as Nottingham Forest, Brentford and Brighton are also interested in him. Moreover, Chelsea and Tottenham have been following him and could formalise their interest if an opportunity arises.
Bellingham is a versatile midfielder, much like his brother Jude, as he can play in the CDM, box-to-box, and No.10 roles. The youngster has been playing mostly in a double midfield pivot for Sunderland.
The Englishman has scored four goals and registered three assists this season and has been playing a key role in the Black Cats' quest for promotion.
