Canadian international and Bayern Munich left back, Alphonso Davies will be out of contract next year and Man Utd and Madrid are after him.
According to TDF, Ruben Amorim has asked the directors at Old Trafford to secure the signing of the 24-year-old from the Bavarians.
The news outlet have mentioned that Man Utd are ready to make a bigger offer than the one tabled by Madrid to steal the signing of Davies.
At the moment, the North American star earns a salary of around £180,000 a week, and he can expect big signing on bonus and a wage raise by moving on a Bosman.
In January, clubs outside Germany will be able to reach a pre-contract agreement with the player and Man Utd want to win this race.
The 56-capped star, who has won every major title with Bayern, is one of the best attacking fullbacks in the world and the speedster would fit in perfectly in the LWB position in Amorim’s 3-4-3 formation.
Man Utd might be capable of offering Davies more money than Madrid but the Spaniards can surely offer a better sporting project.
At the Bernabeu, he will reunite with David Alaba, on the other hand, at Old Trafford, he can reunite with Matthijs de Ligt.
We shall see how the transfer saga unfolds and will keep you updated.
