There is also the question mark as to whether a Liverpool legend would want to move to Old Trafford, even for a managerial job. Thus, there is a lot of uncertainty surrounding this appointment and the Red Devils could choose to with someone who is available right now like Thomas Tuchel.
Against Aston Villa on Sunday, there is a feeling that Erik ten Hag is playing for his job but we have been in such situations before and the Dutch coach has managed to save himself by hook or crooks.
