Manchester United following player since summer – Could need €60m to convince club into sale

Manchester United have been following Atalanta midfielder Ederson since the summer and that 'love has continued'.
That's according to Calcio Atalanta and journalist Alfredo Pedullà, who cover Manchester United's interest in the 25-year-old Brazilian today.
The website covers a piece written by the journalist on his own website, in which he cover the midfielder and Manchester United first showing an interest in the summer transfer window.
He explains that Ederson has 'proven to be a universal midfielder' for the Italian side, shining in Serie A and in Europe.
This has earned him attention from clubs, and it is 'no coincidence' that Manchester United have been following him 'carefully' since the summer.
Other clubs are also likely to be interested but Manchester United, who need to strengthen their midfield, 'certainly have their eyes on him'.
Getting him out of Atalanta will be no easy task as they already rejected a €50m bid earlier this year and there's a belief that the figure has now risen by at least €10m. Pedullà also insists a January move won't be happening because Atalanta don't want to sell midseason.
That won't stop Manchester United, though, who 'will continue follow' Ederson ahead of the summer. He's a profile that has been 'heavily promoted' at Old Trafford.
Their appreciation of him goes back to the summer and could become something in future, albeit not in January.
