Over the past few months, Manchester United has repeatedly been reported as a potential destination for Atalanta midfielder Ederson.

While the likes of Manchester City and Newcastle United have also been mentioned as interested parties, there is now an update about Manchester United’s interest in the Brazilian midfielder.

This comes from Tuttomercatoweb, who report today that the Red Devils have 'increased their attention' on the 25-year-old and the Atalanta star is seen as a replacement for his compatriot Casemiro.

The market men at Manchester United have given their total approval to a move for Ederson, who has played 23 times in all competitions and has two goals to his name this season.

The outlet reveal that Atalanta’s asking price is quite high and talks will only take off if €60m is offered. Having said that, a January move is considered impossible.

The Serie A league leaders will only sell the player in the summer. They are looking to win the title this season and want to keep Ederson as he is a key part of Gian Piero Gasperini’s side.

Bringing the Brazil international to Old Trafford may not be easy for Ruben Amorim’s side, as the report believes that other clubs are also interested.
