Manchester United make offer for player who wants transfer – Made decision after call from Ruben Amorim

Manchester United want to sign Paris Saint-German’s Nuno Mendes in the winter market.
That’s according to RMC Sport, who state Manchester United have made an offer for the left-back.
The Portugal international has 18 months left on his deal and the Ligue 1 winners have offered an extension.
Mendes has rejected the renewal proposal because he feels it’s not in line with his status at the club. He’s been the first choice left-back for Luis Enrique, making 16 appearances so far this season.
The 22-year-old wants to leave the Paris club and the talks between the two parties have stalled. This gives his interested parties hope to sign the fullback next year and the Red Devils are one of them.
It’s claimed Manchester United have made an offer and are pressing to sign the fullback. There’s no mention of the details of their proposal and if they made it to Mendes, PSG or both.
Enrique’s side, for their part, have no plans to let the fullback leave in January and remain confident of securing his renewal.
This claim is relayed by Portugal’s Record, who then provide their own take on this case.
They state Mendes made a decision to leave PSG after a phone call from Ruben Amorim about a possible move to Manchester United. However, a source close to the manager has denied making contact.
This happened at a time when the player put brakes on the negotiations and asked for an improved deal. PSG haven’t responded to this, and the contract talks are now on hold.
Mendes was at Sporting’s academy and was promoted to their first team when Amorim was in charge at the club. The pair can reunite at Manchester United, but Record say they haven’t made a formal offer to him so far.
