Manchester United are the only side to have made a 'formal offer' for Patrick Dorgu at this moment in time but could be behind Napoli.

That's according to Tuttomercatoweb, who report that Napoli's willingness to sanction a loan deal means they have an advantage.

TMW report that, according to their information, the only formal offer on the table at Lecce for Dorgu is from Manchester United. The Italian side have expressed a desire to keep him until the end of the season.

They value staying up in Serie A beyond anything else, with Dorgu in the side, and want to keep him before sanctioning an exit. Dorgu, though, is pushing for the transfer to Old Trafford to take place this month.

Napoli are in the background, monitoring the situation from a distance. Unlike Manchester United, they are willing to leave Dorgu in Salento until the end of the season. That's the most welcome hypothesis for Lecce.

Thus, Napoli could be determined as having an advantage at this moment in time. They, though, are yet to make an official offer. Manchester United are leading in that particular regard.

They need to convince Lecce to let Dorgu go now, though, with the Italians resistant to that for the time being.

No, one may suspect Napoli are creating issues for Manchester United which they could then make disappear if, say, the Red Devils knocked another €5m from Alejandro Garnacho’s price.
