Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has reportedly hit back at his critics claiming that it verges on 'bullying'.

Marcus Rashford has been a key player for Manchester United for several seasons now and understands the pressure it takes to play every week as a Red Devil.

The 26-year-old may also feel added pressure due to him coming through as an academy graduate and being a role model for other young talents to follow.

In Erik ten Hag's debut season in 2022/23, Rashford scored 30 goals and was in red-hot form.

However, much like Manchester United, the England  International's form has dipped and he hasn't come close to hitting the same standards.

The attacker has been subject to many ex-players and pundits taking issue with his attitude and performances in recent months.

However, he has reportedly hit back at these critics with a focus on returning to his best form.

Pete Hall reveals Marcus Rashford feels 'bullied' by ex-players

The i has revealed that Rashford feels he is treated unfairly and is held to a higher standard than other players.

Sources close to the forward have revealed to the 'i' that Rashford feels he is being bullied.

Pete Hall writes that sources close to Rashford said: "When someone else misplaces a pass it does not get mentioned, but when it is Marcus it's different,

"Very different. The criticism coming his way is an onslaught. It is bullying. Supporters believe what senior ex-players say, which only makes it worse.

"The club have spent £100m on central strikers and Marcus is back out wide, as a facilitator. And he is doing his job in that regard. It isn't his fault the chances aren't being put away.

"He is a local lad from Manchester living out his dream.

"So why can people not get off his back? Some support from somewhere might help him get back to his best. Without that, and with these ex-players unable to contain themselves when he does the slightest thing wrong, it only makes things harder for him."
