Bournemouth are in advanced talks with Argentine club Lanus for left-back Julio Soler, talkSPORT understands.

The Cherries are hoping to conclude an £8million deal for the 19-year-old in the coming days.

Soler is a Paraguayan-born Argentine youth international and made four appearances at the Paris Olympics last summer.

He joined the Lanus academy in 2014 and made his senior debut in 2022, featuring 58 times for the club in total.

Premier League leaders Liverpool were previously interested in the left-back.

The Cherries already have Milos Kerkez in their ranks, with the former AC Milan talent considered one of the Premier League’s top full-backs.

Kerkez is unlikely to leave this month, but talkSPORT understands Manchester United hold an interest in the Hungarian.

Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola revealed on Friday that they do not intend to sell any players this month.

“No, it’s not the plan of the club,” he said in his press conference.

“We want to keep all of the players, the ones that are playing almost every game especially.

“You cannot guarantee because this is the market and you don’t know what is going to happen but it’s not in our plans.”

Centre-back Dean Huijsen is also attracting transfer interest amid an impressive debut season at Bournemouth.

The Sun have reported that Real Madrid have been tracking the 19-year-old but a move would more likely take place in the summer.

Bournemouth have been one of the standout performers in the Premier League this season.

They sit seventh in the table and five points adrift of the top four, with qualification for Europe certainly on the cards.

However, they may struggle to keep their best players beyond the end of the season amid interest from other European sides.
