Eberechi Eze is convinced Crystal Palace teammate Michael Olise possesses the talent and mentality to play at the highest level.

Olise is on the verge of completing a £60 million switch to Bayern Munich after another stellar season at Selhurst Park.

The move would see him link up with England captain Harry Kane and Germany international Jamal Musiala in a new-look attack under recently-appointed head coach Vincent Kompany.

Chelsea looked set to bring the France U21 international to west London only for the Bundesliga giants to meet the terms of Olise's release clause.

He signed a new £100,000-a-week contract at Palace last August after initially rejecting Chelsea and it appears the Blues will again miss out on their man.

talkSPORT understands 22-year-old's move to Bayern is a done deal, with an announcement imminent.

Eze, who is on Euro 2024 duty with England, starred alongside Olise last season, helping the Eagles win six of their final seven league games including victories over Liverpool, Manchester United and Newcastle.

"He's an incredible player," Eze exclusively told talkSPORT.

“I’ve enjoyed playing with him for two or three seasons now. He’s a top player, top talent with a top mentality.

"He's got everything it takes to get to the top and to play at the highest level of football.

“Whether he's going there or not [Bayern], he’s an incredible player and he’s got whatever it takes."

Olise's raw talent is bearing fruit after a sustained run of form in the Palace side.

Last campaign, he netted ten goals in 19 Premier League outings – a career best goal return.

Whilst Palace do not want to lose Olise, it has come as no surprise that a European giant has approached them for one of their young guns.

His creativity will be a huge miss for the Eagles should he finalise a move to Bavaria, having registered six assists last term.

But that will be music to the ears of Kane who announced himself to German football in style last season, netting a staggering 36 goals in 32 Bundesliga games for arguably the weakest Bayern side for a decade.

Kompany’s remit is to change that narrative next season by wrestling back the Bundesliga crown from Bayer Leverkusen.
