Chelsea will lock horns with Nottingham Forest at the City Ground this Saturday evening as they look to secure a positive result on the road in the Premier League. The Blues managed to secure a dominant 5-0 win over West Ham United recently, so they would be eager to keep their good form going this weekend.

Mauricio Pochettino will set his men up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to keep changes to a minimum for this game. Hence, Nicolas Jackson will lead the charge for the West London club in the final third.

Defence

Dorde Petrovic will feature in between the sticks for the Blues after keeping a clean sheet in his last league outing. Thiago Silva will resume his defensive partnership with Benoit Badiashile at the heart of Pochettino’s defence as they hope to keep things solid on the defensive end of the field.

Trevoh Chalobah should keep his spot at right-back while Marc Cucurella hopes to catch the eye on the other side as the left-back. Both of them need to be at their best if Chelsea are to come out on top at the City Ground this weekend.

Alfie Gilchrist will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

Conor Gallagher and Moises Caicedo will anchor the midfield for the London club as they look to win the 50-50 duels at the centre of the park. The talented trio of Mykhailo Mudryk, Cole Palmer and Noni Madueke will play just ahead of them as part of Chelsea’s attack. All three of them need to combine well if they want to create some clear-cut chances in the final third.

Cesare Casadei will have to settle for a spot on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the second 45 minutes if required.

Attack

Nicolas Jackson will spearhead the West London club’s attack up top. He has to find a way to cause some problems for the opposition defenders during the 90 minutes.

Christopher Nkunku will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the final quarter if the Blues are in need of a goal by then.
