Jill Scott opens up on two-word phrase fans shout at her following Roy Keane’s hilarious one-liner

Jill Scott has revealed what fans have been hollering at her after a viral moment with Roy Keane on The Overlap. 

Last month, Keane raised eyebrows with an outrageous joke during an episode of the Stick to Football with fellow guest, ex-England Lioness Scott.

The episode featured Gary Neville, Paul Scholes, Scott, Keane and Ian Wright. 

The former Man United midfielder made an X-rated joke while Scott talked about a recent charity match she played in, alongside former West Ham and Nottingham Forest star Marlon Harewood.

“I was the playing the charity game at the weekend, and Marlon Harewood absolutely smashed us,” Scott explained at the time.

“Yeah, he was a big old thing, old Marlon," Wright replied before his co-pundit Keane crudely joked: “And what was the game like?”

The Manchester United legend said it with a cheeky grin and caused the other four members of the panel to burst into laughter.

Neville and Scholes in particular had their head in their hands, seemingly in disbelief at their former teammate’s joke.

“Roy, you can’t say that!” Wright responded whilst still laughing. “That’s got to be [cut out of the edit]…”

Scott took it like a champ and told the producers to keep it in the show as Scholes claimed: “That’s a step too far, that.”

“What was the score I mean, in the game,” Keane asked as the panel’s laughter began to die down, but it didn’t stop there.

“It’s such a powerful image!” Wright shouted – which caused Neville to spit out his water and the laughter to start up again.

Wright then claimed that he couldn’t ‘unsee it’ before Scott joked to the camera: “I think this is our last show, thanks for tuning in.”

Now Scott has said the one thing fans keep saying to her after the clip of Keane's joke went viral. 

The former England star said in the latest episode of Stick to Football: "I left the house the next morning [after Roy Keane's Marlon Harewood joke] and people were shouting at me on the street, "How's Marlon?" and I thought, "Who the hell is Marlon?"

“The clip went viral, but I felt bad because it wasn't even that big a smash, not like that, it wasn't a big tackle.

“His wife even posted about it, and he reposted it himself, so I think he was okay with it. He was trending on X."

Keane adamantly stated that his comment was innocent and that he just wanted to hear more about the football match. 

“I honestly meant, ‘What was the score in the match, how did you play?’ Honest!," he added. 

The former Man City player was having none of it. 

“Yeah and then I said the score was 6-7 and you were like 6-9!" Scott said.

“It was all for charity though, the football, so it’s fine.”

The exchange left the panel in stitches as they each considered their favourite moments from The Overlap over the past two years.

Marlon Harewood made 136 Premier League appearances for Nottingham Forest, West Ham, Aston Villa and Blackpool, scoring 28 goals in total.
