Arsenal will aim to make it four consecutive wins in the Premier League on Saturday when they travel to the Amex Stadium to face Brighton and Hove Albion.

The Gunners came from a goal down to beat Brentford 3-1 on Wednesday evening in their first game of the New Year. The win saw them move back to second spot in the table and only six points adrift of league leaders Liverpool.

Mikel Arteta's side have got back their momentum and will want to continue that by beating Brighton, who have dropped to 10th after drawing four and losing once in their last five games.

Arsenal Team News

Arsenal have received a boost ahead of the trip to Brighton with Kai Havertz available after missing the game against Brentford with illness. Mikel Arteta has also revealed Raheem Sterling is making good progress in his recovery from his knee injury.

Predicted Arsenal lineup vs Brighton (4-3-3)

Goalkeeper

David Raya continues to be a strong presence in goal for Arsenal. The Spaniard is a sure-shot starter against Brighton.

Defence

In front of Raya, Arteta is set to stick with his preferred 4-3-3 formation. Jurrien Timber is suspended, so Thomas Partey and Riccardo Calafiori should function as the full-backs in the Arsenal lineup. They have to be defensively resolute against Brighton's tricky wide players who like to press high up the pitch.

William Saliba has forged an unbreakable partnership with Gabriel Magalhaes at the back, and the duo will have to be at their best to limit the Brighton forwards.

Midfield

Declan Rice is set to be available from the start after a substitute appearance against Brentford last time out. Mikel Merino and Martin Odegaard will fill the remaining two spots in midfield, adding energy, physicality, and creativity to Arteta's side. Jorginho could be brought on in the second half if required.

Attack

After an impressive full Premier League debut against Brentford last time out, Ethan Nwaneri has put himself in pole position to start on the right flank. The young gun has the attributes to cause problems for the Brighton defence.

Gabriel Martinelli is starting to regain some form. He scored a fine volley in the 3-1 win over Brentford and should keep his place on the left flank in the Arsenal lineup. Gabriel Jesus is on hot goalscoring form of late, netting six goals in his last four games including against Brentford in midweek. He will lead the Arsenal attack once again, with Kai Havertz expected to be back on the bench.
