For my first visit to the Racecourse, Sammy collected me from Park Royal, but the ground turned out to be quite difficult to find, especially in the dark.

At one point we ended up in the golf club! Not only that, we needed some assistance to actually get out again!

The home side were straight out the blocks, and within seconds Pia Albert made a very brave save at the feet of an opponent.

And then shortly after a shot at goal was deflected for a corner.

The Yellas next attempt saw Pia Albert diving low to keep out Erin Huntley's strike.

Whilst at the other end, following a good move, the resulting shot was fired directly at the Ascot keeper.

Phil Holden put the home side ahead in the 7th minute with a shot from just outside the box.

However, the R's levelled a few minutes later when Alice Curr was put through, and getting one-on-one with the keeper, she then stroked it home.

Alix Todd restored the lead for the Yellawomen after 16 minutes, with a free kick from outside the box.

Around six minutes later, Emmi Tong's low-shot from close to the bye-line, was held by Gray-Piazza. As the heavens opened towards the interval, at half-time, the score remained at 1-2.

Into the second-half and it was Ava Lee-Walsh who shot over the crossbar, but it was the home side who increased their lead soon after.

Although Pia Albert made the initial save from Robertson, Beth Lloyd was following up for a tap-in.

For the R's, good work by Alice Curr led to substitute Aya Bel-Bergui knocking the ball just over.

Ascot scored a fourth goal after Littlechild had set-up Beth Lloyd.

Ava Lee-Walsh got through on goal and her resulting shot flashed just wide of the upright.

Alice Curr was replaced after 74 minutes.

The home side went 5-1 up four minutes later, when Littlechild's long-range strike spun-in under the Rangers keeper.

It became 1-6 after 81 minutes when Danielle Kjaer's corner was headed into the net by Luckhurst-McCord.

Beth Lloyd completed her hat-trick in added time.

I understand that Alice Curr has since left the Club, but would like to wish her all the best for the future.
