QPR FC Women (1) – Actonians Ladies (0)

FA Women's National League One (South-East)

Team: Wiggins, Cooper, Searle, Hill, Lewin, Blodgett, D'Santos, Owen, Sampson, Stanley, Dzyadyk

Subs: Melling, Hennessy, Goddard, Reid, Kennedy

On a heavy pitch, it was the visitors who went close to opening the scoring at the SkyEx Community Stadium. A cross from the left-flank found Jasmine Williamson who headed just wide of the target.

At the other end, after Chloe Sampson had been set-up, her shot ended up going for a corner.

The game continued to be being a tight affair, and with little goalmouth action. But with five minutes or so remaining, Grace Stanley's run down the left-wing concluded with the R's striker successfully winning a corner. From which, Emily Hill headed wide.

Actonians fashioned two attempts at goal close to the interval. The first one was a soft shot directed at the keeper.

This was followed by a near-post header from a corner, which was well saved by Chrissie Wiggins. Half-time: 0-0.

The first change was made on 55 minutes when Ashleigh Goddard replaced Chloe Sampson.

Later, Annie Dzyadyk made way for Laura Hennessy.

Ellie Searle knocked the ball to Grace Stanley on the left-flank, who in turn, passed to Ashleigh Goddard. The R's substitute's cross somehow evaded team-mates in the box.

Then, after 79 minutes, Jess Cooper, in a widish position, brought out a flying save from the keeper at the near-post.

Ms Freullet booked Jennie Brereton for a push on a Rangers player.

A good interception on the edge of the box by Izzy Owen nullified the danger, and she then proceeded to clear the ball.

The winner arrived on 87 minutes and what a spectacular goal it was! Ellie Searle's strike from over 25-yards dipped over Lilly Hadrava and into the net!

Chrissie Wiggins made a superb save from a 25-yard free kick.

Grace Stanley was booked during the five added minutes and Lexi Reid came on. And earlier, Stevie Kennedy replaced Izzy Owen.

Danny Harrigan's side's next opponents were the London Bees at the SkyEx Community Stadium.
