Allan McGregor has formed one part of the Rangers coaching dream-team which has been forged by Barry Ferguson.
Barry Ferguson has breathed new life into Ibrox after replacing Philippe Clement but there is still much work to be done to get Rangers back to where they need to be.
Ferguson pushed for the Rangers dream team to be given the chance in his backroom staff after being asked to take interim charge at Ibrox, with Neil McCann and Billy Dodds joining Allan McGregor in a new-look backroom staff.
With Moroccan coach Issame Charai also retained, it's a quintet which is about sharing dialogue and working together for the betterment of the Rangers squad.
Each of the club's newest staff members have also been brought into Rangers with a specific role to fulfil.
Neil McCann confirms Allan McGregor's role at Rangers
Whilst Ferguson, Dodds, McCann and Charai all have managerial experience, this is Allan McGregor's first coaching role.
Neil McCann has been talking up the former Rangers goalkeeper and has explained that Greegsy's job is first and foremost to train the goalkeepers.
But it's also about instilling the right mentality into the players between the sticks, with McGregor a born winner who lives and breathes Rangers.
It comes as McCann pulls on his punditry experience to help Rangers and the rest of the backroom staff prepare for the challenges they face in the Scottish Premiership.
"Greegsy is coming in and giving that expertise that he showed as a keeper," McCann told Sky Sports.
"But (also) that winning mentality that I think that is really important to instil in the keepers when he's training them and how they approach it."
Jack Butland hails influence of 'brilliant' Allan McGregor
The comments of Neil McCann come after Rangers goalkeeper Jack Butland praised Allan McGregor heading into the clash with Dundee.
Butland, 31, has plenty of experience himself and has been talking up his relationship with the famous Rangers goalie.
It comes after McGregor famously told Butland to 'enjoy it' when the ex-England stopper replaced him during McGregor's testimonial match v Newcastle United at Ibrox.
It's clear the legendary Rangers goalkeeper is having a big impact on Butland, who claims McGregor has been a 'brilliant' addition to the Rangers Training Centre.
"I think it's been brilliant (working under McGregor)," Butland told the press. "Our relationship has developed over my time here, obviously with Allan retiring and then a few rounds of golf here and there between him and myself.
"And we've had a friendship outside of football. So for them to bring him back in to be here now is really enjoyable.
"I think he's just as nervous as anybody, he wants to come and do a great job. But for me, there's nobody better to have around.
"Not just because of what he achieved but he also understands what I might be going through and what it's like as a Rangers player, as a Rangers goalkeeper. So the relationship is a really, really good one.
"I really enjoy working together and it's been really good so far."
