It was an unhappy return to Glasgow for ex-Rangers winger Vladimir Weiss as Slovan Bratislava were humbled by Celtic.

The Parkhead side thumped Weiss's Champions League underdogs 5-1 in Glasgow's east end, with the winger having a shocker in front of his former Old Firm rivals.

But the 34-year-old Slovakian wasn't the only ex-Rangers star spotted in Parkhead in the defeat, with another Slovak cult Ibrox hero pictured come full-time.

Vladimir Weiss might've fell foul of Celtic this time around, but things might not have been the same had this ex-Rangers striker been pulling on his boots!

Ex-Rangers striker joins Vladimir Weiss at Celtic Park

Vladimir Weiss caught the Rangers bug during a season-long loan spell at Ibrox in 2010/11.

Weiss joined the club for a year on loan from Manchester City and fired his way into the hearts of fans with his on and off pitch antics.

But Weiss isn't the only Slovak star who has made an impression down Edmiston Road way with Rangers also once having Filip Sebo on their books.

Paul le Guen signing Sebo turned out for the Gers for one season in 2006/07 and the striker is more remembered for his misses than his goals.

Although one pre-season strike v Chelsea in 2007 has earned the striker a cult status amongst Ibrox fans.

Also playing for Slovan Bratislava in the latter stages of his career, Filip Sebo was spotted amongst the Slovakian fans at Parkhead come full-time.

Shaking the hands of Vladimir Weiss, it wasn't to be for this former bluenose duo who left Celtic Park on the end of a sore one.

Champions League win increases Old Firm gap

Rangers fans might've hoped to have seen their former Slovak duo land a blow on Celtic in the Champions League.

But it wasn't to be as Vladimir Weiss and Slovan Bratislava struggled to overcome a superior Parkhead team.

The result will sting for Rangers fans who saw their own Champions League hopes dashed in QR3 amid a tumultuous summer.

Despite earning a 1-1 draw against Dynamo Kyiv in the away leg in Poland, Rangers lost 1-0 at Ibrox after a controversial Jefte red card killed the tie.

The cost of Rangers' Champions League failure is well-documented but even this victory for Celtic threatens to widen the financial gap between the Old Firm.

Each three points on Champions League duties is worth £1.8m – in contrast a victory in the Europa League is worth only £530k.
