Barry Ferguson's Rangers will be without influential Czech international Vaclav Cerny for the Scottish Premiership trip to Dundee.
Cerny is missing from the Rangers starting XI which will take to the pitch against Dundee as the Gers look to improve on a 1-1 draw at Dens Park earlier in the season.
It comes after Cerny missed training ahead of the Dundee game, Barry Ferguson having hinted that one or two were carrying knocks after the international break.
Vaclav Cerny has been a key player for Rangers this season with the winger scoring 17 goals for the team in an impressive campaign.
Interim Rangers manager Ferguson confirmed the issue ahead of the match, which comes as a blow amid Rangers links to signing Cerny permanently.
Barry Ferguson explains Vaclav Cerny absence v Dundee
Barry Ferguson has confirmed Vaclav Cerny will miss the Scottish Premiership clash between Rangers and Dundee with a hamstring injury.
The Ibrox boss was speaking to RangersTV ahead of the match with one burgeoning young talent coming into the side to replace the winger.
"We're obviously disappointed that he's going to be missing," Ferguson said.
"He's come back with a hamstring issue. I've made the decision that it wasn't worth the risk because he's obviously a big player.
"We just need to wait and see how he recovers but again it's an opportunity for another player to come in and this time it's Hamza."
Barry Ferguson 'expecting big performance' from Hamza Igamane
Barry Ferguson has challenged Hamza Igamane to go out and prove his worth in the absence of Vaclav Cerny.
The Rangers legend claims the trip to Dundee is a 'good opportunity' for the striker, who goes into the match in good form.
This is after Igamane made his debut with Morocco during the March internationals, with the 22-year-old striker scoring a late winner at Celtic Park before the break.
"He needs to go and show that he should be in the starting XI. So it's a good opportunity for him," Ferguson explained.
"He should be high in confidence obviously getting the winning goal against Celtic, obviously getting called up for Morocco.
"So I am expecting a big performance off Hamza today."
