Both Rangers manager Philippe Clement and technical director Nils Koppen have pledged to bleed more youngsters from the Ibrox academy.

But so far this season that's a promise which is yet to be followed through with several of the Ibrox club's youngest players failing to breakthrough into the squad.

Whilst there remains big questions about the futures of several young players at Ibrox, there is one young attacker who is turning heads in Glasgow and attracting attention.

Now, several Rangers fans are urging Philippe Clement to hand an opportunity to Findlay Curtis after his latest heroics in the Glasgow Cup v Celtic.

Rangers B defeat Celtic in Glasgow Cup

The Rangers B team have overcome their Celtic counterparts in a Glasgow Cup tie at Stenhousmuir's Ochilview Park.

Rangers named a strong side to face Celtic in the Glasgow Cup clash, with the likes of Adam Devine, Alex Lowry and Zak Lovelace all starting the match in Falkirk.

But it was the emerging talents of Findlay Curtis which was to turn Rangers heads just 11 minutes into the game, with the 18-year-old attacker opening the scoring for Rangers.

Eight minutes later and Rangers were two goals to the good when Blaine McLure scored a second for the Gers from Alex Lowry's corner.

Celtic would go on to pull one back in the second half but English youth international Zak Lovelace completed the scoring to ensure the Rangers B team recorded a 3-1 victory.

Rangers fans want to see Findlay Curtis

With Rangers progressing to the next round of the Glasgow Cup, Findlay Curtis was the name on the lips of Gers fans come full-time.

The Ibrox side are keen to see more of the forward and have pleaded with Philippe Clement to give the kid game time in the coming weeks and months.

One Rangers fan suggested the club either play Findlay Curtis at the top level or consider loaning him out to a leading SPFL side to aid his development.

In a nutshell, the fan said Rangers 'must do better on this front' with several academy stars struggling to make the breakthrough.

Another has suggested that Curtis should 'start a Scottish Cup game' as he looks to get experience, with one eye potentially on the upcoming visit of Fraserburgh later in the month.

Others have called on Philippe Clement to give the kid some cameos whenever possible as he looks to progress at Rangers.
