Rangers fans are licking their wounds after Europa League disappointment at the hands of Manchester United.

The club's 3500 strong away support inside Old Trafford thought the Rangers team had nicked a point when Cyriel Dessers scored with two minutes to play.

But Bruno Fernandes popped up to break Ibrox hearts with Rangers now looking at a Europa League playoff clash amid a hectic schedule this season.

The Rangers support has been full of praise for the young kids who came into the team, with Bailey Rice in particular standing out at Old Trafford.

But there's one 'passenger' in the Rangers ranks who is frustrating supporters as the club's fans take aim at lack of effort, quality and application.

Nedim Bajrami branded a 'passenger' by Rangers fans

Nedim Bajrami was Rangers' marquee signing of the summer transfer window but Ibrox fans remain unconvinced of the playmaker's credentials.

The Albanian international, 25, cost Rangers a not insignificant £3.4m when he signed from Sassuolo in the summer but so far the club has only seen flashes of the player's quality.

There have been some big moments, including a quickfire goal v Malmo and a stunning solo effort v Aberdeen, but these are increasingly few and far between for the Rangers support.

With big price tags come big expectations and Rangers fans reckon Bajrami didn't do enough against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Focusing on the player's perceived lack of application, the Albanian international has been branded a 'passenger' by some supporters.

Nedim Bajrami wasn't the only player to come in from criticism of course, with one fan claiming Bajrami, Yilmaz and Butland were all 'sadly lacking'.

Another has urged the club to force through a 'quick resale' of the midfielder because he's 'offering nothing'.

Even on the ball the midfielder has been the subject of criticism from fans, with one supporter claiming Bajrami is 'not offering enough' for the money the Gers paid this summer.

Nedim Bajrami compared to Ianis Hagi

The criticism of Nedim Bajrami amongst Rangers fans is also intensified by Ianis Hagi's reemergence at Ibrox.

Romanian playmaker Hagi is a firm fan favourite but is not in the Rangers Europa League squad and could not play at Old Trafford.

With Hagi out of contract in the summer, Rangers fans have been urging the club to tie the playmaker down because Nedim Bajrami is yet to prove he can fill the void when the Romanian is not in the team.
