Furious Rangers fans single out 'rare exception' from draw with Dundee United for praise

Rangers fans are furious after Vaclav Cerny's second half strike against Dundee United wasn't enough to secure Scottish Premiership victory at Ibrox.
The Czech winger, 27, was instrumental in salvaging a point as he placed a second half effort underneath United keeper Jack Walton to cancel out Sam Dalby's first half opener.
But the goal was not enough for Rangers to secure all three points with a lacklustre frontline struggling to compete with the physicality and time-wasting tactics of the Arabs at Ibrox.
In fact, ask most Rangers fans and Vaclav Cerny was the only shining light on a drab Scottish Premiership afternoon with the pressure mounting on manager Philippe Clement.
Vaclav Cerny hailed as Rangers' best player
Vaclav Cerny earned the plaudits of Rangers fans following the 1-1 draw with Dundee United as the pressure continues to rise on Philippe Clement.
The Wolfsburg loanee netted his seventh goal of the season in the eventual draw with Jim Goodwin's side and was Rangers' only reliable outlet in the entire game.
Fans have taken to social media platform X to hail the role of the Czech winger, who is far and away proving himself to be Rangers' best player.
One Rangers fan added that Vaclav Cerny 'deserved' his Man of the Match award in the stadium.
Another claimed that Cerny was the only player who 'looked interested' in the draw with Dundee United in a scathing review of the Czech star's teammates.
One described Cerny as 'one of the only positives' from a hugely disappointing afternoon at Ibrox where the team dropped yet more points.
We reckon one fan pretty much sums up the sentiment too, as he looked to the Heavens above:
Rangers loanee open to transfer talks
Speaking before the game Vaclav Cerny claimed he was open to staying at Rangers at the end of his current loan deal.
The winger said that there is 'plenty of time' to have discussions over a permanent transfer, with reports suggesting Rangers could sign Cerny for around £3.8m.
"If it's up to me, I would be open to talk obviously, but I think it's very, very soon to talk about that," Cerny admitted.
"If you don't mind, just let me focus on helping the team and achieve what we want to achieve, me personally and as a club. I think we've got plenty of time to talk about this.
"I am obviously (enjoying it), yeah."
That's all well and good Vaclav, but given the context of the club's shambolic situation, we wouldn't blame you for politely waving us all goodbye when this disaster of a season eventually ends.
