Rangers manager Philippe Clement hasn't half had it bad with injury problems ever since he took over at Ibrox.

The Belgian has seen the Rangers squad decimated with problems as three long years of persistent issues catches up and continues to sorely cost the club.

Whilst there have undoubtedly been strides taken at Rangers in this regard, the club takes one step forward and two steps back with an injury curse which shows no signs of abating.

With Neraysho Kasanwirjo's Rangers future cast into doubt amid a latest problem, you'd be forgiven for just about giving up hope of the Gers ever truly banishing the problem.

But it's not all doom and gloom at Ibrox, as Philippe Clement confirms that two injured stars will be back in the selection for the Scottish Premiership clash against Dundee United.

Ross McCausland overcomes Northern Ireland foot injury

Ross McCausland was sent home early from Northern Ireland duties and missed the nation's final two UEFA Nations League clashes with a foot injury.

The problem, which saw the 21-year-old miss games against Belarus and Luxembourg, will be a source of frustration for the young winger, who has played 15 games so far this season.

But ahead of the visit of Dundee United, Philippe Clement confirmed McCausland is in contention to be involved against the Arabs at Ibrox.

"Ross (McCausland) had a problem with his foot, but he's better now, so that's positive," Clement told reports ahead of the match.

Ridvan Yilmaz hasn't played at Ibrox for six months

The other major position on the injury front involves Turkish international left-back Ridvan Yilmaz, who has not been seen in Rangers colours since August.

The 23-year-old left-back was stretchered off in the 2-0 defeat to Dynamo Kyiv and has missed a staggering 16 matches already this campaign.

It's up to Ridvan to now get back into the team – with Brazilian left-back Jefte making the berth his own – and live up to the astonishing £5m price tag attached to Yilmaz's name.

Clement has confirmed that the defender will be in the selection at Ibrox and is in line to make a first appearance in three months.

Given Rangers were playing at Hampden the last time the injury-plagued left-back was fit, it would be Ridvan Yilmaz's first game at Ibrox in six months.

The last time the left-back played at Rangers' home stadium was the 5-2 win over Dundee in May.

"Ridvan is training with the team again, he will be in the selection tomorrow," said Clement. "So he's doing well, he played also one half last week in that friendly game."
