Rangers fans have a new hero in Moroccan striker Hamza Igamane.
The 22-year-old Rangers forward might not have found the back of the net in the 3-1 Scottish Premiership victory over Dundee United.
But Hamza Igamane put in a sterling performance alongside Cyriel Dessers at the top end of the park for Rangers to earn the plaudits come full-time.
Rangers fans hail Hamza Igamane
Hamza Igamane held the ball up expertly, took some genuinely sublime touches and was instrumental to Rangers' forward play at Tannadice.
And it's not been missed by Rangers fans who've taken to X in their numbers to tip their hat to the ex-FAR Rabat striker after the final whistle.
One Rangers fan claimed that the performance from Hamza Igamane was 'close to perfection' and was 'just missing a goal'.
Others branded the striker 'some player' with the overwhelming suggestion that Hamza is a 'star' in the making.
One told Hamza Igamane that it's a 'joy watching you my friend' whilst one fan lauded the striker's 'hold up play and lovely skill on the ball'.
One Rangers fan based in Argentina even claimed that Hamza Igamane is 'better than Messi'!
The Hamza Igamane plaudits are backed up by the numbers in Rangers' victory over Dundee United too.
Igamane completed the most dribbles in the match (5/7) and won nine out of 17 duels in a combative performance at Tannadice.
Having six shots on goal, this was also an effective forward display by Hamza who created three chances despite dropping deeper to play a different role at Tannadice.
Rangers striker wanted in Premier League
Rangers fans know that the club has a real player on their hands in the shape of Hamza Igamane who continues to impress by the game.
Tough in the duel with immense close control, Igamane nutmegged his way through the Dundee United defence and overpowered opponents with driving skill and technique.
All the performance at Dundee United was missing was a goal and Rangers fans will be looking for Igamane to fire the club to glory in the Europa League against USG at Ibrox.
But with one more week left in the transfer window, Rangers will also hope to keep a hold of their star striker.
It comes with Tottenham Hotspur reportedly building a portfolio on Hamza Igamane south of the border.
