'How on earth' - Kris Boyd names the two Rangers stars he cannot believe passed medicals at Ibrox

Kris Boyd simply cannot get his head around Oscar Cortes and Danilo passing their medicals upon signing for Rangers.
Colombian winger Cortes was signed in January 2024 initially on loan until the end of last season by now sacked manager Philippe Clement.
He then suffered a serious injury against Kilmarnock in the February that kept him out for most of the campaign – but that didn’t stop Rangers signing him again in the summer.
This time it was a season-long loan with the obligation – not an option – to buy Cortes in the summer of 2025 for a reported fee of £4m.
As it stands, that will still go ahead despite Cortes playing just eight games for Rangers across all competitions due to more injury issues.
Cortes has only just recovered from another injury and played in a Rangers bounce game during the international break – he hasn’t featured for the first-team since January.

Kris Boyd slams Rangers recruitment of Oscar Cortes & Danilo
Meanwhile, Brazilian striker Danilo – bought for £6m in the summer of 2023 – is another struggling for fitness at the moment.
His Ibrox career has been constantly disrupted due to injuries and missed the start of this season as a result of a knee problem.
Barry Ferguson clearly isn’t a fan of Danilo. The 25-year-old forward is fit, but has only played 16 minutes of football under the interim manager.
Boyd wrote in The Scottish Sun this week that both players are indicative of the recruitment mistakes made at Rangers over the last several years.
The Sky Sports pundit wants Rangers to back out of the permanent Cortes signing this summer if possible, while Danilo has been criticised for his training standards.
But his most stinging point regarding both is that he is baffled as to how the pair passed medicals upon signing for Rangers, given how often they are in the treatment room at Ibrox.
Boyd said: “It's still incredible to think that Rangers are obliged to pay French club Lens £3.5m for Oscar Cortes, the Where's Wally of Scottish football.
“Look, anyone can get injured. But if there's any way Gers can back out of that deal then they should be looking into it. He's not the only one missing in action, though.
“Danilo was signed by Michael Beale and scored half a dozen goals last season before he was injured, and another half dozen in the first half of this season.
“But he's another one injured too often, or who can't even reach the standards required in training to be in contention at the weekend.
“It makes me scratch my head and wonder how on earth these guys were able to pass medicals. That's something that has to change when the new regime takes over.
“Rangers can no longer afford to squander millions on players who are rarely available for the manager, whoever it turns out to be.”
