Jim Goodwin names 'brave' Rangers star he loves as Dundee Utd head to Ibrox

Two of Rangers most consistent performances for Philippe Clement this season were signed from other SPFL clubs.
The know the standards needed to succeed at Ibrox and are fully aware of what the club represents, making it easier for the manager in the process.
Successful Rangers squads of the past have always had a core of Scots and in Connor Barron, Jim Goodwin believes that Clement has a gem.
Jim Goodwin praises Rangers midfielder Connor Barron
Speaking ahead of Dundee United's trip to Glasgow to face Rangers, Goodwin spoke about when he had Barron under his charge at Aberdeen:
"When I took the job at Aberdeen, Connor had just come back from a successful loan spell at Kelty Hearts, and I immediately thought he was one of the better players in the group," as reported by The Courier.
"He had a great attitude, was brave and comfortable on the ball.
"Connor has a little bit of everything. Out of possession, he is willing to get stuck in and make tackles. In possession, he has a great range of passing. So, it hasn't surprised me to see him doing so well at Rangers.
"I played him in pretty much every game at Aberdeen up until the latter stages when there were contract negotiations going on and I think that became a distraction."
What does Barron need to really fulfill his potential?
He's not there yet, and he suffers without someone beside him of Barry Ferguson or Steven Davies' quality, but Barron has a touch of Kevin Thomson about him.
He's aggressive, dynamic, positive and seems determined to have a real impact at Rangers.
The 22-year old hasn't been shy in telling his more experienced teammates where they are going wrong at times, unfortunately, he has had to do it more than Clement would have liked.
Barron has also looked more comfortable with Nicolas Raskin playing slightly deeper, all they need now is a No.10 in front of them who can dictate Rangers attacking play whilst they do the hard work.
