La Liga club 'ask' Rangers about Cyriel Dessers after £29m Dortmund striker deal ripped up

Cyriel Dessers is reportedly a wanted man in Spain as Rangers refuse to be drawn on the future of the Nigerian international striker.
Rangers paid Cremonese a reported £4.5m to sign Cyriel Dessers in the summer of 2023 but it has not always gone to plan for the big striker at Ibrox.
Now, reports are swirling that La Liga outfit Leganes have asked Rangers the question about Cyriel Dessers as they look to strengthen their frontline.
Leganes ask Rangers about Cyriel Dessers
According to Revelo journalist Matteo Moretto, Leganes have asked Rangers about the availability of Cyriel Dessers this January.
Taking to social media platform X, Moretto said: "Leganes has asked about Cyriel Dessers."
The La Liga club currently find themselves in 16th place in the Spanish top flight and are believed to be on the hunt for a striker this month.
It comes after Leganes ripped up a loan deal for Borussia Dortmund's Ivorian striker Sebastian Haller, who has since joined FC Utrecht until the end of the season.
Dortmund paid £29m to sign Haller back in 2022, the striker's spell in Germany being disrupted by a six-month battle with cancer.
Two Rangers high-earners linked with exit
Patrick Stewart refused to be drawn on exit links surrounding Cyriel Dessers when the Rangers CEO addressed the club's transfer business this January.
But there have now been a number of exit links surrounding the 30-year-old ex-Feyenoord striker with Dessers having fallen out of favour at Ibrox.
With Hamza Igamane and Danilo now ahead of Cyriel Dessers in the Rangers pecking order, there have been sounds around Saint Etienne in France and Cagliari in Italy.
Cagliari reportedly have Cyriel Dessers on a three-man shortlist and it now looks like the Rangers striker could have a number of options this January.
Cyriel Dessers isn't the only Rangers high-earner being linked with the exit door this winter either, with Rabbi Matondo also being tipped to leave Ibrox.
