Your January 9 transfer window update. Rangers News delivers updates concerning Lyall Cameron, Richard King, Grant Hanley and Adam Devine.
Clement talks up Cameron
The Dundee midfielder will likely line up at Ibrox tonight as Cameron harbours a “dream” of playing for Rangers.
Andy Halliday recently urged Gers to sign Cameron while the player issued a come and get me to Ibrox in what was a subtle manouver.
Now manager Philippe Clement has spoken highly of the young Scot which has prompted further speculation.
The boss said: “Lyle Cameron, a very good midfielder, creative midfielder, with decisive action in the last pass and a good solid base behind him also.”

Richard King on the radar
Rangers would not need to pay through the nose to land King should they wish to seriously pursue the defender.
The Cavalier FC player was linked this week with the Gers needing a centre-half.
Adam Devine tug of war
Rangers‘ youngster Devine spent last season on loan at Motherwell as he had no real chance of breaking into the Ibrox XI ahead of James Tavernier.
Now there’s the risk, as there always is, about a young player stagnating when not given the chance to play.
It has been reported by Birmingham Mail that Birmingham City are now keen on the right-back.
And they rival West Brom in considering the 21-year-old.
Yilmaz Turkey target
It’s not the first time but Ridvan Yilmaz has been added to Besiktas’ “wishlist” for the January window.
The club, according to Fanatik, are ready to test Rangers’ resolve for the full-back.
Yilmaz has done well this term on both sides of the side’s defence having recently been trusted to play at right-back.
Grant Hanley Ibrox path opens up
Rangers, as mentioned, need a central defender and one option could potentially be Hanley of Norwich City.
The experienced centre-half is out of favour with the Canaries and has been told by manager Johannes Hoff Thorup that he would be allowed to consider other options.
Ibrox would likely be one but the boss also insisted he’d “selfishly” like to keep hold of the Scotland cap due to his experience and leadership qualities.
He told the Pink Un: “From a selfish perspective, I want to keep him because he’s a leader and he’s a captain, and he’s a very experienced guy. He’s training well and he’s good around the young boys.
“But I can understand if he comes to me and says, 'I want to play first team football on a regular basis'. Then, of course, we need to sit down and look at the situation.
“It also [depends] what kind of offers will he get in January, because I think we have to be as honest with him as possible and also realistic.”
Rabbi Matondo China interest?!
Not sure anyone would have had this on their bingo cards.
Matondo has been forced to bide his time this season with his role taking a backseat while Villarreal-linked Vaclav Cerny and Ianis Hagi shine on the flanks.
He has made just seven appearances and that has sparked transfer speculation about a January exit.
One club now doing the rounds on social media, as claimed to be interested in the Welshman, is Chinese Super League outfit Chengdu Rongcheng.
Local reports, seemingly via a Rangers supporters club in China, say Matondo has been touted there.
But Rangers News can confirm there is nothing to the rumour.
Matondo may yet leave Ibrox this window, but it won’t be for China.
