Philippe Clement has provided an update on Rangers‘ stars who will miss this weekend’s clash with Kilmarnock.

The manager met the press this afternoon to preview the coming Premiership clash at Rugby Park.

The international break is well and truly over and for supporters desperate to see their club back in action, they won’t have to wait long.

Rangers have not had their injury troubles to seek in recent times with a number of players being sidelined from last season through to the start of the current campaign.

There have also been stars who have picked up knocks over the course of the opening seven league fixtures and Clement has moved to inform punters of those who will be available.

The Belgian also revealed those players who won’t make it as he outlined some of the timelines in which he and the support can expect some back to action.

Ianis Hagi is missing for Rangers after red card

Speaking to the media earlier today at the RTC, Clement provided his updates.

Asked for injury latest, Clement revealed: “Luckily, no injuries from international duty.

“The only one is Ross (McCausland) but he had a small issue before the break, he is back in training but not certain to be available.

“Hagi is suspended. Cortes will be out for several weeks.

“Ridvan I expect back in training next week, Matondo later on next week or the following week.

“Danilo is back training with the squad – we will see how fit he is for the weekend.”

Clement is pleased to have his full squad back in the door at Auchenhowie having settled for a skeleton crew during the international break where a number of players were involved in Nations League action.

Clement warns squad of ‘tough’ Kilmarnock test

And he explained how he understands Derek McInnes’ Killie are likely to provide a difficult test for Gers.

“Expecting a tough test, a place where you need to adapt,” he added.

“No excuses, you have to be prepared for the surface and the style of play.

“We are looking forward to a battle for the three points.”
