Rangers board insulting fans as Philippe Clement makes defiant '200%' claim after sack poser

Things continue to go from bad to worse for Philippe Clement with Rangers dropping points on their travels once again.

It seems inevitable that the manager will get his marching orders, and it might be that Patrick Stewart has to talk about more than transfers when he addresses fans.

Rangers fans aren't the decision makers though with Clement suggesting that the current form isn't an issue.

Philippe Clement claims Rangers sack is out of the question

Finding someone who backs the Belgian is getting harder and harder as results fail to improve.

For his sake, those that do matter seem to be backing him because when he was asked if he has had talks with the board about his position, Clement said:

"We have everyday talks about everything, about January, about next season, about everything."

Clement went one further when quizzed on whether or not the powers that be were still behind him and had faith in him and the project:

"Yes, 200 per cent."

Fans are emotionally invested in the club that they support, however, there are times when they should be listened to and the board appear to be tone deaf on this occasion.

Rangers fans are rarely unified, but calls for Clement to be sacked will only grow louder with even the most ardent of supporters now giving up hope of him turning things around with a squad that looks like it has given up.

There is only one, eventual outcome to the current situation.

Scatter gun Clement continues to contradict

Clement's interviews are becoming a painful watch as the Rangers boss contradicts himself on a weekly basis.

On his side lacking belief, he said:

"No, it has to do with confidence also, going behind. Maybe it gets in the minds of players about the last games, losing points in away games.

"It’s also maybe something to do that you need to play a lot of times with the same players.

"I missed freshness with Jefte and Ridvan on the full-backs, to be decisive with the final pass, the decisive pass. So, I think it’s a lot of things together, but it was not good enough today."

In one answer, Clement complained about not having stability, but in the next complains about having to play the same players.

There always seems to be something or someone else to blame when, as manager, it is his job to instill belief and an attacking game plan that makes being decisive easier.

Every game against a low block feels like Clement is surprised or that it is somehow unfair that teams set up like that.

When a manager runs out of excuses, the problem is usually closer to home.
