Rangers could face Ross Wilson battle for Cyriel Dessers regen - report

Dor Turgeman is the latest name doing the Rangers transfer rounds as the club looks ahead to a potentially busy summer window.
The Maccabi Tel Aviv striker, 21, has been turning heads in Israel in this season with 17 goals and Rangers have reportedly taken an interest.
Whilst Vaclav Cerny was scoring for Czechia and Nicolas Raskin was impressing for Belgium, Turgeman was opening his account for the Israeli national team.
But who is Dor Turgeman and what can Rangers fans expect if the Ibrox club is to make their interest in the hitman concrete this summer?
Who is Dor Turgeman?
According to Israeli outlet Israel Hayom, Rangers sent a scout to watch Dor Turgeman find the back of the net for Israel in a 4-2 World Cup Qualifying defeat to Norway in Hungary.
Turgeman netted a late consolation for Israel, coming off the bench to open his account for the nation on what was his eighth cap for the country.
The powerful forward has excellent technique and despite his sizeable 6ft1 frame possesses a quick turn of pace which can catch defenders off guard.
Turgeman is also comfortable with both feet and has that ability to drop a shoulder, go past a player and slot it into the bottom corner.
The hitman came through the youth ranks at Maccabi Tel Aviv after being picked up from Ashdod as a kid and wears the club's number nine.
Turgeman also spent a season learning his trade at Beitar Tel Aviv Bat Yam in 21/22.
With 17 goals for Maccabi Tel Aviv this season, it's little wonder Rangers are taking notice but the Ibrox club are not the only ones.
According to the report, Premier League Burnley are also casting glances at the hitman whilst Nottingham Forest representatives were in the crowd.
It's not clear if the City Ground recruitment team – which is led by ex-Rangers sporting director Ross Wilson – was casting glances at Turgeman or once Rangers-linked Oscar Gloukh.
Turgeman links hint at high-profile Rangers exit
The links to Dor Turgeman raise major questions about the futures of several in the Rangers squad next season.
Rangers are actively working in the background ahead of what promises to be a busy summer, with the US takeover at Ibrox edging closer to completion.
Interim Rangers manager Barry Ferguson refused to be drawn on transfer plans when asked if he will have any say in recruitment ahead of the summer window.
But Ferguson is clear Vaclav Cerny is a player Rangers want to sign permanently, whilst the future of Nicolas Raskin continues to form interesting discussions.
With Turgeman very much a modern number nine, the links raise major questions over the futures of all three strikers currently at Ibrox.
Cyriel Dessers was linked with a January exit but wound up staying at Rangers. We expect there to be much debate over the current Rangers number nine's future this summer.
Turgeman is very much a player in the Dessers mould and perhaps Rangers view the hitman as the long-term successor to the Nigerian international.
Moroccan wonderkid Hamza Igamane has also been linked to the Premier League and Rangers will look to cash in on the striker when the time is right.
Brazilian striker Danilo is also yet to repay the £6m fee Rangers paid Feyenoord in 2023 after a challenging few seasons decimated by injury.
