Rangers could land Bosman bargain for £3.5m winger they were at 'advanced stages' to sign
Today at 02:00 AM
Rangers seemed certain to sign a right winger in the summer as Philippe Clement looked to right the wrongs of the previous summer.
When Scott Wright was sold to Birmingham City, it looked like a deadline day deal was going to be made for Southampton's Samuel Edozie only for the Light Blues to pull out as the clocked ticked down.
Yusuf Kabadayi stayed in the Bundesliga, where he has hardly kicked a ball and Morgan Whittaker is getting more expensive by the week, however, there is good news if Rangers want to go back in for Adama Traore.

Rangers could make Adama Traore Bosman return
The 29-year old flyer has seven goals and two assists in 22 appearances for Ferencvaros after the transfer window closed despite a move to Rangers said to be at an "advanced stage" at one point.
With hindsight, bringing Vaclav Cerny to Ibrox might have been a stop gap with Traore's contract up at the end of the 2025 season and the Mali international free to discuss a pre-contract agreement in January.
Quoted £3.5m in the summer, that figure will be considerably less now and Nils Koppen could well return with a cut-price offer to bring the speedster in early and provide Clement with reinforcements.
Could Rangers afford Traore?
Despite having the biggest wage bill in Hungary of some £14m, this is still four and a half times smaller than Rangers current budget – although this number is gradually being cut.
From this, it is safe to assume that Traore will be affordable.
For perspective, Rabbi Matondo is widely reported to be on around £23,000 per week – over £1.1m per year.
Given the Wales international's availability, it would be a surprise if the Rangers hierarchy aren't trying to move him on.
By bringing in Traore, not only could the Gers upgrade, but they might even have a winger who can make a difference and who is available every week too.
After all, the manager needs all the help he can get.
