Rangers have a number of high profile injury doubts heading into the Europa League clash with Manchester United.

Philippe Clement and his young squad head to Old Trafford with a quiet confidence about the Gers' chances south of the border.

Manchester United's new manager Ruben Amorim has branded his time 'the worst United side in history' ahead of the match, adding an extra dimension to this Battle of Britain clash.

And now Rangers have been boosted by the presence of one of the club's most experienced players ahead of the Europa League tie.

Tom Lawrence back in Rangers training

Tom Lawrence has been pictured in Rangers training ahead of the Europa League clash with Manchester United.

The Welsh international, 31, came through at the Man United youth academy and even made a solitary appearance for the Red Devils in the 13/14 season.

Rangers have been without Tom Lawrence since the ex-Derby County captain went off in the Premier Sports Cup semi-final against Motherwell in November.

But now the Rangers playmaker has been spotted back in Rangers training ahead of the Europa League trip to Manchester United.

Whilst it remains unclear if Tom Lawrence will play a role in the match at Old Trafford, the presence of the midfielder is a welcome boost to Philippe Clement's creative options.

Rangers star linked with transfer out of Ibrox

The presence of Tom Lawrence in Rangers training comes amid high-profile links out of Ibrox.

Lawrence has been strongly linked with a move to Besiktas and a reunion with former Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The likes of Premier League club Ipswich Town have also been named as Lawrence suitors as the January window enters its final fortnight.

Rangers look set to ship several high-earners off their wage bill with Alex Lowry the latest name to leave Ibrox.
