One thing Rangers seem to be able to get right is scoring quick goals with the latest in the opening period coming against Aberdeen.

Philippe Clement still has a long way to go in terms of his safety as manager, but he knows that he has a gem in his squad who could be the difference between success and failure.

Hamza Igamane is now on an incredible scoring run in the Scottish Premiership and has become the type of talisman that has seen him earn his own song – well, kind of.

Rangers fans give Hamza Igamane his own song

With nine goals in 10 league games, Igamane is a man on fire and in the sort of form that a club legend used to regularly display.

During the 1980s and 1990s, the song that was heard more than any other – at least 355 times to be precise – was for a certain Ally McCoist.

However, instead of "Super Ally, Super Ally, ole, ole ole," Ibrox was alive with the sound of "Igamane, Igamane, ole, ole, ole."

Artistic license has been given to the pronunciation of the 22-year old striker's name, but the effect isn't lost.

The celebration might not make too much sense to the older generation, however, to the gamers in the support, it will be child’s play…

Will Rangers cash in on Igamane?

Igamane has been attracting attention, but Rangers are in no rush to sell, as explained by CEO Patrick Stewart:

"We don't want to sell Hamza in January," Stewart explains. "We want him to be here for the second part of the season, I'll be very clear on that.

"I think I would be told it was irresponsible if we sold a player. There's always a balance, but January is not typically a window in which those sorts of transactions take place.

"We're always, as a board, going to be looking at the long-term and striking a balance in the long-term. That's our duty, but Hamza's only came into the team and started scoring, and we want him to be here for the second part of the season, as I'm sure all the supporters do as well."

It might not be heard 355 times, but Igamane's song will be heard for a while yet.
