Maccabi Tel Aviv striker Dor Turgeman is one of the most prominent names being linked to Rangers ahead of what promises to be a busy summer at Ibrox.

Rangers watched Turgeman open his account for Israel during the March international break, the 21-year-old striker breaking into his country's national side after impressing in Tel Aviv.

Reports then suggested Rangers would have to pay £5m for Turgeman's services with the Ibrox side one of a number of teams tailing the Israeli striker.

Rangers News then exclusively revealed that Turgeman is open to a move to Ibrox on the condition that it's a precursor to a Premier League switch.

But Rangers appear to have handed a blow in their pursuit of the striker after a team of would-be suitors were handed a Premier League boost.

Dor Turgeman suitors promoted to Premier League

As Rangers prepare to be bought over by 49ers Enterprises, Dor Turgeman ticks a lot of boxes ahead of what promises to be a busy summer.

Young with big potential, Rangers would hope to secure the services of Turgeman before flipping the striker after a few seasons in Glasgow.

But according to reports, Rangers face competition from Burnley for Turgeman if they hope to convince the hitman his future lies at Ibrox.

The Clarets were also reportedly watching the striker score his first goal with Israel and are believed to be firm suitors for the hitman.

With 49ers Enterprises celebrating Leeds United's promotion to the Premier League, there might be mooted celebrations at Ibrox.

That's because Burnley have also banked the fortune of Premier League promotion with Scott Parker leading the Turf Moor club to the hallowed lands of the English top flight.

Even with US money set to flow into Rangers' coffers, the Ibrox club know that they cannot compete with the Premier League in terms of finances.

With Turgeman also making his clear his dream of playing in the Premier League, it now positions Burnley as the leading suitors for the striker this summer.

Rangers target Dor Turgeman claims future is 'difficult to know'

Dor Turgeman has suggested that he is open to leaving Maccabi Tel Aviv after impressing in Israel this season.

Turgeman has netted 18 goals to date this season and spoke last summer amid rampant speculation surrounding his future.

Whilst the hitman admits that he is open to other opportunities, for the time being Turgeman is focused on Maccabi Tel Aviv.

"I am here and doing the best I possibly can," Turgeman said. "What will happen in the future is difficult to know.

"I didn't deal with the offers that were mentioned, I kept working and focusing on Maccabi Tel Aviv.

"I don't regret any decision that I take and I don't think that rushing to move away is a good thing. One has to be dominant here first, in the league, to the lead the team and then we will see."
