Rangers predicted XI vs Dundee: Nedim Bajrami dropped as Dujon Sterling gets new role

Rangers return to league action with Dundee the visitors ahead of a packed festive period fixture list.

Philippe Clement didn't manage a win over either Tottenham or Celtic and yet calls for him to be sacked as manager have gone quiet as it finally looks like he is getting a tune out of the squad

A packed Ibrox will never tolerate failure, however, if they see a similar performance to the wins over Kilmarnock and Ross County against Dundee, Rangers fans will at least be a little more patient.

Rangers predicted XI vs Dundee

Here is your predicted Rangers XI as league football becomes the priority once again.

The defence was unlucky against Celtic, they largely kept the league leaders quiet until fatigue and yellow cards started to take their toll.

In particular, Robin Propper and Dujon Sterling handled Kyogo Furuhashi and Adam Idah without any real problems, a pairing that should be seen again to give Leon Balogun a breather.

Ridvan Yilmaz has probably played more football than Clement would have wanted, given the nature of his absence, plus Jefte has had a week off, both players are capable of rotating over the coming weeks.

A return to his best form was not expected for James Tavernier and being dropped seems to have done the trick.

Even if there weren't injuries, he deserves to keep his place.

A midfield change to improve creativity?

A change should be made in midfield, but only because of the type of game that it will probably be.

Ianis Hagi is a better passer than Nedim Bajrami and his ability to find teammates in a packed box could be the difference.

Another positive against Celtic was how Mohamed Diomande and Nicolas Raskin handled an area of the park that has been one-sided in recent years.

Let them work on the partnership, especially with Diomande being in his best form since signing.

Vaclav Cerny is undroppable from the right-wing role and there should be a return of the Hamza Igamane and Danilo partnership that was so devastating against Kilmarnock.

Hopefully, there is a repeat of that performance and the result.
