Philippe Clement’s injury list is piling up again at the wrong time of the season ahead of the visit of Kilmarnock this Sunday.

Gers have been plagued with injury issues ever since Clement stepped foot in Glasgow and Connor Goldson is the latest big name casualty.

The defender has been ruled out for the rest of the Scottish Premiership title run in with a knee injury sustained in training on Wednesday.

Goldson had been left on the bench in recent games anyway, but it’s one less experienced head the Rangers manager can call on if he was required.

Ridvan Yilmaz could return

Due to the number of players sidelined at the moment, Clement won’t have to do much to the starting XI that was fielded in the win against St Mirren last weekend.

The one change could be at left-back depending on the fitness of Ridvan Yilmaz. The Belgian confirmed at his Friday press conference that the Turk has been in training.

Rangers fans would love to see the diminutive 22-year-old back in action, particularly when Borna Barisic is the replacement at the moment.
